Subject: Scores Killed?
Part of the synopsis says, "One of the giant missiles backfires and explodes in the launching site, killing scores."

This is almost surely wrong. That shot was from the extensive testing program for the rocket, and there were lots of failures during that time. They knew better than to have anyone close enough to the pad to have been killed.

Subject: Barely watchable...
The footage in this clip was originally filmed in crisp Agfa color.

The quality of this transfer, as is with most of the Universal Newsreels on archive.org, is depressingly abysmal.
